If your child was born in 2010 and you live in New York City, it is almost time to apply for kindergarten for the 2015-2016 school year. The open application period is from January 7–February 13, 2015 and there are three ways to apply:
• Online at nyc.gov/schools/kindergarten
• Over the phone by calling 718-935-2400 (8 am-6 pm Monday-Friday)
• In person at an enrollment office (8 am-3 pm, Monday-Friday) for locations visit www.nyc.gov/schools/enrollmentoffices
All families, including those of students with disabilities and current pre-K students, should submit an application. Admission is not first come first served. All applications received by February 13 will be treated the same, according to admission priorities.
