City’s Harvest’s Annual Drive at PS 217 until February 15th

The Student Council of P.S. 217 is joining this year again the schools, organizations, companies and New York City’s Fire and Police Departments to collect non-perishable food for City Harvest.

The Council is kindly asking for your help in supporting this important cause! You can help by bringing non-perishables to school until Thursday, February 15, 2018. City Harvest will pick up the donated food and will distribute it to food pantries and soup kitchens throughout New York City to make sure shelves are fully stocked with good food for hungry children and their families.

Acceptable items include: canned fruit, canned vegetables, peanut butter (plastic jars), macaroni and cheese (packaged), hot and cold cereal (packaged, family sized). City Harvest cannot accept unlabeled or dented cans, any open packaging, products that need to be refrigerated, homemade foods or expired products. Donations can be placed in the appropriate labeled boxes outside of the Cafeteria.
