It has been a tradition of our school to offer two highly valued programs: Magnet Masters Clubs for 4th and 5th graders and Magnet After School Programs for all grades. This year we are re-branding these programs and we are happy to announce that PS217 will offer:
- Discovery Zone Clubs, for 4th and 5th grade, on Friday afternoons during the school day, 1:25 – 2:20 PM. Starts: Friday, October 13, 2017.
- Discovery Zone After School Program, for all grades: on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 2:30 – 4:00 PM, starting late October (date TBD) & on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 2:30 – 4:00 PM, starting in January (date TBD)
Do you have a skill, an interest or a talent that you would like to share with children at PS217? Would you be willing to teach a class, either for Discovery Zone Clubs or for the Discovery Zone After School Program? Or maybe for both? If you have an interest, a hobby or a talent – e.g. art, music, dance, acting, sewing, knitting, movies, scrap booking, sports, games, etc. – we can help you design a class that kids will learn from and enjoy. You can even pair up with a friend and lead a class together. We will offer the support of a teacher working along with you.
