The seminar is focused on helping parents develop strategies to support their children at home and in school. The seminar consists of panel discussions with a variety of the Department of Education’s Policy makers and education experts. The Academic Support Panel will provide families questions and strategies that help families partner with teacher, administrators and other schools based professionals. The Social-Emotional Support Panel will discuss explicit strategies which school based professionals and families can use to build strong and responsible decision making individuals. Panelists will make many DOE policy and procedures transparent.
