  • Reading: Persuasive texts
  • Writing: Persuasive writing
  • Math: Multiplication/Division/Number stories
  • Social Studies: Declaration of Independence
  • Science: Staying healthy- hygiene, nutrition, exercise

Grade 3

  • Reading: Comprehensive skills and strategies: story elements(setting, character analysis-compare and contrast, problem/solution and plot/sequence), inferences/drawing conclusions, realism verses fantasty, features of the genre.
  • Writing: Persuasive Writing Task- Country Specific – write an opinion piece that persuades people to visit that country.
  • Math: Unit 5 Multiplication and division by factors of 6,7,8,9; Multiples of 10 up to 90 by single digit
  • Science: How do simple machines help move objects.
  • Social Studies: Case study of an Asian Community (China, Japan, Russia, etc)

Grade 4
