On Saturday, March 1st the P.S. 217 community went “Into the Woods” to see an adapted version of the James Lapine and Steven Sondheim’s Broadway musical. Four familiar tales: Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, and Rapunzel are interwoven into this original story about a baker and his wife, who wish more than anything for a child. There was a witch and a quest along with music, dance, and loads of laughs. We are now rehearsing our spring musical, Mary Poppins, which, I’m told will be supercalifragilisticexpialidoc
