Grade 3

  • Reading: Distinguish point of view, making inferences as we read, and determining importance.
  • Science: Students will be introduced to simple machines such as the pulley, the inclined plane, the wheel and axle, and more.
  • Social Studies: Students will explore the culture, geography, and people of Asia.
  • Math: Students will complete units on shapes, time, mass and capacity. Students will also work on multiplication and area.
  • Writing: Students will begin a unit on writing a persuasive essay.
