While many places in the city are putting on Lunar New Year family friendly celebrations, our suggestion for this week is Queens Botanical Garden, https://queensbotanical.org/, located at 43-50 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355. Yes, it is quite a ride, but the line-up of events will make it all worth. On Saturday, February 9, 2019 you can celebrate the Year of the Pig at Queens Botanical Garden with crafts, performances, and activities for the whole family! Drop-ins are welcome. The activities and events will include: red envelope decorating, paper cherry blossoms, paper lantern making, origami, animal face painting, storytime, ink workshops, dance and performances, art display and plant sales
