FREE Book Distribution – Saturday, June 3 – POSTPONED Until FALL

The free book distribution that was to take place on Saturday June 3rd at PS/IS High School 323 has been postponed till Fall. More info will come. In the meantime you can still register by filling out the form “First Book Registration Form” available for download at http://www.uft.org/files/attachments/secure/first-book-registration.pdf. Scan or photograph the form and return it to Betty Zohar at bzohar@uft.org. New York Transit Museum

FREE with advanced registration
Rise and shine then come to the Transit Museum for an early opening in collaboration with Extreme Kids and Crew. Children with disabilities and their families are invited to explore the Museum for an hour before it opens to the public and participate in special activities celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 7 train.

 

Summer Reading begins Thursday, June 8!

Brooklyn Public Library is calling all Brooklyn Summer Readers to kick of the Summer Reading Program on Thursday, June 8 with free, fun activities and entertainment from 10:30am until 3pm on the Central Library Plaza. This year, the Plaza will be transformed into a maker space with projects for all ages! (In case of rain or extreme weather conditions, this event will be held indoors in the Youth Wing, Dweck Center and Lobby). All local branches will host events on this day, so feel free to visit them.
