PS 217 PARENTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE FOR TITLE I FUND ALLOCATION!

PS 217 has been awarded Title I funding again this year! These funds support parent involvement in the school. As parents, we all get to vote on the use of these funds. Voting will occur at the Parent’s Association Meeting on Friday October 21st at 8:15 AM in the cafeteria.

HERE ARE ARE A FEW WAYS IT COULD BE USED:
• 6 parent interpreter stipends
• A training workshop for parent interpreters from Caracol Interpreters Collective, a professional interpreters company
• Food and supplies for Community Engagement Committee events
• One year pilot of School App Express: All parents at the school would be able to download this free app which would give them instant updates regarding school news. The app can be set to any language they prefer.
• Cool Culture program for pre k and kindergarten students and their families
• School Messenger (phone call alerts).
• Stipends for musicians participating in the garden performances
