Puppetry in Practice

All second grade classes have just begun 10-week animation residencies with Puppetry in Practice, an organization based at Brooklyn College that is dedicated to enriching the curriculum through the arts. Each class is choosing a NYC landmark to focus on, and will be doing research and creating a short animated film presenting the history and meaning of that landmark. The study of NYC landmarks is part of the second grade curriculum. When the animations are completed, parents and guardians will be invited to a screening with their children.
