Red Ribbon Week at P.S. 217 October 24 – 28, 2016

P.S. 217 stood once again with National Family Partnership and last week celebrated Red Ribbon Week.  Red Ribbon Week is the largest drug and bully prevention campaign in the country. This week allows us a dedicated time to reach out to our students and discuss the harmful effects of drugs and why everyone should lead a drug and bully free life.

During physical education classes, Ms. Kachura and Mr. Heaney discussed the campaign through literature and conversations while distributing bookmarks to the children as a reminder of such an important goal in life.
Please take this opportunity to continue discussing with your children at home about the importance of this campaign in everyone’s life!
Let’s remember this year’s red Ribbon Slogan “I ELECT TO BE DRUG FREE!”
