Science Night at PS 217 April 1, 5-7 PM

We are looking forward to seeing you for P.S. 217’s annual Science Night, which will be held on Wednesday April 1st from 5 PM – 7 PM in our Cafeteria. This event provides us with a wonderful opportunity to engage children of all ages in experiments, games and contests that help make their lessons leap off the page. We still need many more volunteers! Here’s how you can help:

  1. VOLUNTEER!!!! This event takes many volunteers to pull off, as everything is very “hands on.” No experience necessary, we can give you very detailed instructions as to how to run one of our pre-planned activities, or, you can suggest an activity and run it.
  2. PAPER AIRPLANE GENIUS: Is anyone really good at making different types of paper airplanes? If so, we need you! Little did you know when you were goofing off as a child, that this skill would one day be so valuable!
  3. SAVE: water and seltzer bottles, particularly 8oz and 4oz, and also INDIVIDUAL BOTTLE CAPS!!! We ran out of bottle caps for our volcanoes last year. Please save them and bring them in this Friday, March 27 and leave them in Room 108.

Should you have any questions about this event or if you can volunteer in any way, please contact Sophia at Sophia.mcgee@gmail.com  or Mara (Room 108).
