Spring Festival and Play at P.S. 217 – Saturday, March 19, 2016

Fly the magic carpet and come to PS 217’s Production of ALADDIN!!!

Suggested Contribution: $5 for adults, $2 for children (12 and under) (tickets will be sold at the door)

Play 4 – 5 PM

Join Aladdin, his mischievous monkey Abu, Princess Jasmine, the Genie and his magic lamp, Jafar, the Sultan and the rest of the characters for an incredible journey of discovery and an experience you’ll never forget! Our 4th and 5th grade students put in a lot of effort.Tthey have been rehearsing for many long hours to bring you all
the way from the fictional sultanate of Agrabah the magical story of Aladdin.

 

Spring Festival 1– 4 PM

Many engaging activities, crafts, games, face painting, mehndi hand designs, as well as food, treats and a silent auction! All of these in the P.S. 217 Cafeteria!

PLEASE come and volunteer to help out. The PA is in need of as many helpers as possible to run the Spring Festival. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Anytime between now – March 18:
  • Donate an item or a service for the silent auction: tickets to an event, art supplies in a basket, gift certificates for services, specialty packaged food items, toys and games, scented candles, lotions, cooking classes, yoga parties etc. Leave items in Room 108.
  • Donate empty baskets, boxes, beautiful containers to allow us to put together a great selection of items for the auction.
  • Help shop for food and supplies.
  1. On Friday, March 18:
  • Come to Room 108 after the PA Meeting to help wrap up and put together auction baskets.
  • Help hang out banners outside
  1. On Saturday, March 19:
  • Come as early as 10 AM to help set up.
  • Bring unfrosted cupcakes for a cupcake decorating activity
  • Run one of the crafts table. If you have a craft idea and want to run that table, please let us know a few days in advance what it is.
  • Help sell tickets or snacks.
  • Stay after 4 PM and help clean up.
  • Feel free to just show up and we’ll find a job for you!
