SUPPORTING YOUR CHILD WITH HOMEWORK – Parent Workshop

Tuesday, November 1, 2:30 – 3:30 PM in PS 217 Auditorium

Whether more often or rarely, whether a 5th grader getting ready for middle school or a little Kindergartener making his way through the first days of school, all kids seem to be affected in some way by homework struggles. From procrastination to distraction, from lack of motivation to disorganization, there’s always something you could improve and there’s always a new trick worth learning about in order to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.

We are excited to invite all P.S. 217 Parents to a workshop and a dialog on how to best support your children with homework. PS 217 teachers will engage you in a discussion about:

  • Why homework time is a struggle in some families
  • Why is homework important
  • How to help your child develop a homework routine
  • How to decrease stress for you and your child during homework time
  • Homework help tips and resources
