The Bully and the Beast – Parent Workshop – Wednesday 2/12/20

What a perfect time for a great workshop! Right in the middle of our Respect for All Week, we invite all of our families to attend The Bully and the Beast, a bullying prevention parent workshop taking place this Tuesday, February 12 at 8:15 AM in the PS 217 Library (Room 307).
Bullying can threaten students’ physical and emotional safety at school and can negatively impact their ability to learn. The best way to address bullying is to stop it before it starts. As parents and guardians, it is important to understand the various faces of this concept, to discuss it with your children, to recognize the warning signs and learn how to get help if ever needed.
Please join our guest speakers: David Hosten from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and the team from Jewish Child Care Association on Tuesday at 8:15 AM in the PS 217 Library to learn about, discuss and address any concerns that you might have on this topic.
