The Wizard of Oz performance 5 pm—Auditorium
First it was a novel written by L. Frank Baum…then it became an all-time favorite movie produced by MGM Studios! It is our turn, now to follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City where the Wonderful Wizard of Oz will help Dorothy get back home in Kansas. If Judy Garland enchanted you with her Dorothy, have no doubt that our P.S. 217 extremely talented children will amaze you with their bright performance on Saturday, June 6 at 5 pm. For the past five months, children from K-5 worked very hard during after school magnet program to bring the magical Land of Oz on P.S. 217 stage. Come join Dorothy, Toto, The Tin Woodman, The Cowardly Lion, The Scarecrow, The Wicked Witch of the West, The Good Witch of the North, the munchkins and all the other characters in their adventure to find the powerful Wizard of Oz.
International Potluck Dinner 3-5 pm—Garden
Before immersing yourself in the beautiful fantasy of Oz, come join us for an early potluck dinner in the P.S. 217 Garden. Please bring your favorite dish or dessert to share while meeting and greeting P.S. 217 families.
