Welcome back to the Library!

The library is now open for PS 217 families every Tuesday, afternoon between 2:30 – 3:30 PM.

Come borrow children’s books for the whole family!

Children are expected to read at home to supplement classroom instruction. It is very important that you read to and with your child every day! Even talking about the pictures in a book (in any language) helps reinforce important reading skills.

Children can borrow books for pleasure or to support what they are learning about in class. Each month, the newsletter sent home by your child’s teacher highlights the subjects being taught, so why not borrow some library books to enrich this learning?

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult. While PS 217 staff will be in the Library every Tuesday afternoon to assist you, if you would like to volunteer for an hour in the library on Tuesdays, please contact Mara Dubovici at 718.434.6960 x1 / LDubovici@schools.nyc.gov .
