I hope your summer was warm and relaxing and you are as excited as I am to start the new school year. Another journey is in front of us and I know it will be a fun one!
Whether you are a new P.S. 217 family or a returning one, the year ahead will be a rewarding experience for you and your child. We invite and encourage all of you to work in partnership with us to seize opportunities in the P.S. 217 programs and initiatives. Our school believes that a strong school – home partnership is the key to ensure that our children achieve their highest potential. We extend a special yearlong invitation to our families to join us at school activities and events whenever possible.
As a parent or a guardian of a P.S. 217 student you are already a member of the P.S. 217 Parents Association. Keep an eye out for the numerous PA meetings, events and programs that will happen throughout the year. They are an excellent way to meet the school community, share ideas and participate. Your children will greatly benefit from your active participation. Your involvement is much needed and highly valued.
