Mondays, 10/07 – 12/16 at 8:30 – 10:00 AM

We are happy to announce that our partnership with Cornell University – Cooperative Extension New York City will continue this Fall. Every Monday morning at 8:30 AM, between October 7th and December 16th, you are invited in the PS 217 Cafeteria for a series of most educational hands-on workshops on various topics related to nutrition, health and overall wellness. All the topics are based on USDA Dietary Guidelines and www.ChooseMyPlate.Gov .

During each session the participants will engage in learner – centered, dialogue based education that is culturally sensitive. Visuals and hands – on activities will make teaching come alive. You will discuss, prepare, cook and taste foods. You will also learn strategies on how to provide your family with healthy meals and snacks while making the best use of the available food resources. The workshop series had their debut this Monday, October 1st at 8:30 AM with the topic: Introduction to EFNEP & Importance of Physical Activity

Bonus: Participants completing the series receive a Certificate of Achievement from Cornell University Cooperative Extension!
