Another successful PS 217 Book Fair has just ended and we would like to thank you all for your participation. Whether you allowed your child to purchase books during the school day or you visited us during the Parent Teacher Conferences, you contributed to our success. If you are still on the look for some good new books, remember that the ONLINE PS217 Scholastic Book Fair is still open 24 hours a day until Saturday, March 24. Until same day you can also shop on the Scholastic Book Fairs App. It’s free to download on any device, and it also enables you to scan a book or barcode to find age, grade or reading level for a book, to browse through various titles, to read the book synopsis, and last but not least, the to shop for books! Just make sure you select PS 217 at your checkout.
Until we see you again at our next Book Fair (save the date for the end of May!) keep on building your own home library. Studies have consistently shown that children who grow up in homes with many books do much better in school than those whose minds have been starved.
