It’s never too early to look around for information regarding college opportunities. On Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 5-8pm, Andries Hudde JHS 240 (2500 Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn NY 11210) will be hosting a College Career Readiness Workshop alongside the Community District Educational Council Meeting. This is a one of a kind, extremely useful workshop for parents in all District 22. You will have a chance to meet with college representatives, to find out about their application process, financial aid, scholarships, tuition and much more. Many college and university representatives will be attending and will be offering materials and information to parents. The New York Immigration Coalition will be present as well, offering a very engaged discussion about immigrants’ rights and guide to attend college. Finally, the NY529 college savings program will have brochures available, thus allowing families to find out more about what they can do today in order to secure tomorrow’s college fund for their children.
Whether you are thinking about your child’s future college and career path, or you already have children looking to apply to a college in the near future, give this workshop a chance.
