On Friday, October 21st from 2:30 – 4:30 the PS 217 Garden will be transformed into a space to celebrate the harvest season with Crafts and Games, Music, Storytelling, Mehndi Hand Painting, Face Painting, a Weaving Wall and more. There will be snacks for sale and pumpkins to purchase in the pumpkin patch.
We need volunteers to help with various parts of the Festival.
- The days before the event
- Help out with craft preparations (cutting pipe cleaners, organizing materials, making signage, etc);
- Donate craft materials, beads, glue sticks, stickers, buttons, wood scraps, fabric, etc, to upcycle into craft projects.
- The day of the festival
- Fence Decoration (morning)
- Advance Ticket sales – between 7:40-8:15 am and/or 12-2 pm
- Fill water and lemonade coolers
- Set up tables, signs, games, pumpkin patch
- During the festival
- Ticket Sales/ Gate keepers
- Games Supervision (Apple Checkers, Ball Toss, Bean Bag Toss, Fairy Houses)
- Face and/or Mehndi painting
- Crafts Supervision (Free Form Craft Table, Felt leaf Garland craft, Seed & Bean Mosaics, Scarecrow, Weaving Wall)
- Pumpkin Patch Sales, Snack Sales
- Clean Up
