The Book Fair is coming! Get ready for an exciting book shopping experience right in our own PS 217 Library. As per our long time tradition, during the Parent Teacher Conferences week we are offering you and your children the opportunity to shop for new books that your children want to read. Not only that you build your home library this way, but you also support our school.
Each class will be scheduled to come to the Book Fair with their teacher, so please keep an eye on any announcement going home regarding the exact day and time. A NEW payment feature is offered for the first time for your convenience. Our book fair has a new digital payment option, called E-Wallet. If you fear that your child might lose the cash you hand them on the day of their classroom visit to the fair, you can set up an account and have funds immediately available for your child to shop the Book Fair. Families are invited to visit our book fair as follows:
Friday, 03/09/18 2:30 – 3:30 PM
Tuesday, 03/13/18 8:00 – 9:00 AM
Thursday, 03/15/18 8:00 – 9:00 AM 12:30 – 3:00 PM and 4:30 – 7:30 PM
Additionally, if you are a parent of a Pre-K child, you are welcome to join your child’s class on Friday, 03/09/18 between 8:00 – 9:00 AM for an exclusive Pre-K at the Fair Family Event.
You cannot make it to the fair? Do you want extended time to shop? Check our ONLINE PS217 Scholastic Book Fair open 24 hours a day between Sunday, March 4 and Saturday, March 24.
Are you more of an App user? We have it covered as well. Scholastic’s NEW Book Fairs App enhances your book fair options. Free to download on any device, the Scholastic Book Fairs App enables you to scan a book or barcode to find age, grade or reading level for a book, to browse through various titles available for a certain age group, to read short descriptions of various books of interest, and last but not least, the to shop for books! Just make sure you select PS 217 at your checkout. All with a simple touch of your screen!
All orders will ship direct to school for FREE when the Online Fair has ended.
