Respect for All Week – February 9-12, 2016

“One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say”
(Bryan H. McGill)

NYC Department of Education has designated February 9-12, 2016 as Respect for All (RFA) Week in all NYC public schools. This is a great opportunity for everyone to highlight and build upon ongoing diversity programs and curriculum-based instruction. While we are proud to promote respect for diversity and engage students in meaningful lessons as an ongoing mission, for this week in particular, all our students have been asked to bring to school an artifact from their culture or country of origin. We hope that powerful discussions will take place in every class. Parents are invited to join in and share their stories and pictures with their child’s class.

If you happen to visit your child’s class during this week, and are willing to share with us your story, please bring it in or send it to Mara Dubovici (Room 108 / Ldubovici@schools.nyc.gov). We would love to further share it with the whole school community. Be proud of who you are and how you raise your child in Respect for All.
