Red Ribbon Week at P.S. 217

October 24 – 28, 2016
Like every year, P.S. 217 will stand one more time with National Family Partnership and will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week. Celebrated during October 23 – 30, 2015, Red Ribbon Week is the largest drug and bully prevention campaign in the country. This week allows us an opportunity to reach out to our students and discuss the harmful effects of drugs and why everyone should lead a drug and bully free life. During physical education classes, Ms. Kachura and Mr. Heaney will be discussing this campaign through literature and conversations while distributing bookmarks to all the children as a reminder of such an important goal in life. Please take this opportunity to continue discussing with your children at home about the importance of this campaign in everyone’s life!

Let’s remember this year’s red Ribbon Slogan “I ELECT TO BE DRUG FREE!”
